Grand Challenge School Support Fund

All qualifiying school are automatically considered to receive funding. If your schools is awarded funding you will receive a letter requesting that your school send a tax invoice in order to claim the awarded amount.

The Grand Challenge School support fund is provided by the Federal Government through the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research. Funding is provided on a geographical basis with schools travelling the furthest distance being awarded larger amounts of funding to assist with the significant travel and accommodation expenses involved to attend the Grand Challenge.

All schools who qualify for the Grand Challenge are automatically considered as a recipient for this funding so there is no need to apply. Prior to the event, your school will receive a letter detailing the amount of sponsorship your school has received and requesting you send a tax invoice to claim the amount. Please note, schools located close to the Grand Challenge venue may not be awarded financial support from this fund.

Challenge Assistance Fund

The Challenge Assistance Fund is administered by Rotary District 9670. The Fund aims to assist schools to meet the significant travel and accommodation expenses in transporting long distances to compete in the National Grand Challenge. If your school has qualified to compete in the 2010 Grand Challenge, you are have the opportunity to apply for this funding. Please note that funding is awarded to schools on a needs basis to assist those schools who are experiencing significant financial hardship.
